beginning the healing Journey
Individual Therapy
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, or a deep sense of disconnection, individual therapy offers a space to slow down and come home to yourself. Together, we’ll explore the patterns, experiences, and emotions that may be keeping you stuck—while building tools for self-understanding, emotional regulation, and meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, drawing from somatic practices, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care. You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. This work is about meeting yourself where you are—and trusting that healing unfolds from there.
Couples Therapy
Relationships can be both a source of connection and a mirror for our most tender vulnerabilities. Whether you’re struggling with communication, navigating a transition, or feeling distant from one another, couples therapy can help you move from disconnection to deeper understanding. I support partners in unpacking patterns, repairing ruptures, and learning how to show up more fully and empathetically with one another. My work is grounded in emotional attunement, relational accountability, and a recognition of how culture, trauma, and identity shape the way we love. All relationship structures and identities are welcome.
LIVE WORKSHOPS
I offer workshops and live events for early-career clinicians, therapists, and community members who want to engage more deeply in ethical, embodied, and trauma-informed practice. These spaces are part learning, part reflection, and part connection—designed to be interactive and rooted in real-world experiences. Whether we’re exploring eating disorders, supervision, relational ethics, or burnout, my goal is to create environments that are nourishing, honest, and growth-supportive. Workshops can be tailored for organizations, private practices, or group consultation. Upcoming events will be posted here soon!

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.”

Sarah Cushing
Registered Psychotherapist, MACP
I’m a registered psychotherapist, facilitator, and fellow human navigating the complexities of healing and connection. I often describe myself as a wounded healer—someone who knows what it’s like to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or not enough, and who brings that lived experience into the work with care and humility.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens in connection, through curiosity, honesty, and compassionate witnessing. I draw from a range of modalities including somatic therapy, DBT-informed strategies, narrative and psychodynamic frameworks, and parts work. But more than any technique, I believe in the power of attuned presence and collaborative exploration.
In addition to my clinical work, I facilitate workshops for early-career clinicians with a focus on eating disorders, ethics, trauma-informed care, and sustainable practice. Whether in individual therapy or group spaces, my goal is to hold space for the messy, nonlinear process of growth—and to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have always been worthy of care.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a lifelong learner, cat lover, and believer in soft mornings, honest conversations, and the quiet courage it takes to keep showing up.
